69. How pursuing a career in international education has taken Miloni around the world

I first met Miloni Gandhi in 2003 in Honolulu, Hawaii at the East-West Center's Asia-Pacific Leadership Program, where she was instrumental in leading and preparing our graduate student body for a model United Nations simulation.

In this interview, Miloni traces her formative years to growing up in Cerritos, California where the diverse community inspired her to pursue an international studies curriculum at nearby University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).

Miloni then expands on her East-West Center experience in Hawaii, pursuing her PhD and, later, teaching at the University of Southern California (USC).

We dive into her academic career which has taken her to North Africa, the Middle East, and the Pacific Islands from four-year research universities to community colleges.
